Dakota County Star Quilters holds a quilt show each year at the South St. Paul Historical Society. Unlike most shows, our show stays up for over a month, allowing you plenty of time to come visit our show. Our members contribute quilts for display and we usually have 100 pieces on display. There is an annual challenge project among the members, on which visitors of the show can vote for their favorite one. Also shown are samples of charity projects the group has worked on and other hand crafted items.
A boutique is open for visitors to shop. Beautiful quilts, and plenty of fabric is donated each year for purchase. There is also a small quilt auction that visitors can bid on during the run of the show.
The 2016 Quilt Show will be held April 13, 2016 through May 6, 2016.

She will be giving us a trunk show of quilts and lecture on Stripology. She describes the lecture as follows: 'This lecture will take you through my strip collecting process, how I choose strips for my quilts, color combination and choices in scrappy quilts and how to choose background fabrics and accents to pull your scrappy goodness together. I will take you through the thought process behind the Stripology ruler and of course show you multiple strip quilts along the way.”
Tickets are on sale now. Contact our quilt show chair to purchase tickets kathy.lindstrom1[at]gmail[dot]com .
Note: Correction for lecture tickets
There is an error on the tickets for the lecture by Gudrun Erla. The date of the lecture is APRIL 12, not February 12. We apologize for any confusion this may cause.
